Interviewed by
Vernon Samuels on BBC Radio Bristol, Coach Lyken said "All men are struggling, it doesn't matter what race they are. Everything can
look beautiful on the outside - beautiful house, car, but go inside and it's a whole new story."
".... men are
really lost. My aim is to liberate men. Men are in a matrix looking for a way out, looking for something and they won't find
it in a woman, friends, their car etc... its within them."
The secrets beneath
a man's soul are ... to be revealed on Thursday 28 August 2008.
Audience Feedback
from previous seminars by Coach Lyken.
"Good content, well executed, very knowledgeable. Coach used his own life experiences
to convey the message and this made it more powerful. As he has lived through this experience he was able
to talk about it. It gave me food for thought; it left me questioning a lot of things.
This is something I would have
benefited from when my children were younger, it would have helped me as a single parent, to be more mindful in ensuring that
my children grew up with a balanced perspective on life. There was so much, I left wanting more.
Some men will find this subject
challenging, however it is very positive as it is delivered by a man in order to help men to better themselves."
Patricia Findlay, Milton Keynes, attendee
at Birmingham Library Theatre, 28.10.06.
Attendee Comment on Coach speaking at Tiemo's education debate.
"Really good debate. I thoroughly enjoyed the talk. The bootcamp man [Coach Lyken] was brilliant
and really lifted the night. It was good to hear the different perspectives of the panellists."

Bristol Seminar Feedback
"Very interesting and thought provoking." Barry Warren, Bristol
"Touched a raw nerve ! Would have liked session to be longer with more debate." Tennis
Russell, Bristol
"Interesting. Made me think about some things that could be affecting my relationship.
It's so true, we should stop talking and start doing." Michell Gillespie, Bristol
"Issues could be
more linked to us as black men. Are you saying all men are the same or does culture shape us ?" Okera Stephenson, Bristol
"Thank you for your
speech. It was very uplifting and made me look at my life and what I could change. Mostly to take responsibility as a person
for my actions." Dujuan Mansaray, 16, Bristol
"An excellent and
thought provoking take on the role of black men and the impact we can have on women. More black women should attend."
Lloyd Downer, Bristol
"I really enjoyed
Coach Lyken's talk and think his message would be a great debate for the BME Community in Bristol. His message of
stop crying the victim plea was innovative." Tammi Redman, Bristol
