IMPORTANT NEWS FOR AMERICANS ABROAD
 
Being away from home doesn't mean you can't vote in the USA Presidential election on 4 November 2008.
 
Americans living outside of America must post their votes at least a week before the postal voting deadline. Deadlines vary state by state but for most it's 4 October 2008.
 
Don't delay register today. There's no reason to lose your right to vote just because you're abroad. Click the link below for full information on state deadlines, how to register and vote.

Ade graduated from the University of Ghana, Legon with a B. Sc. Administration Management and has an MBA from Manchester Business School.

He comments on political, economic, social and development issues.

David Mulholland is a stand-up comic and writer. Before becoming a stand-up, he was a journalist covering military affairs for more than a decade for publications such as Jane’s Defence Weekly and the Wall Street Journal. He has followed political issues in London and Washington, both as a reporter and, early on in his career, as an economic analyst for the US government.

Kate Smurthwaite is a respected political writer. Her views can be seen at her blog www.cruellablog.blogspot.com which is listed in the top 100 UK political websites. She is a regular panelist on BBC One, Radio Five Live and was a presenter on Radio Jackie for a number of years. She can currently be seen on Sky Travel's "Where In The World?"
 
As a Comedian she is one of the busiest acts and comperes on the London and UK circuit, resident at both Soho Comedy Club and the Comedy Manifesto. She has also produced and performed two solo shows: Adrenaline, which went from the Edinburgh festival to be performed in New York and around the UK, and Apes Like Me which received rave reviews at this year's Edinburgh festival and was a finalist in the Hackney Empire Comedian of the Year 2008.

JL Ravin has been involved in journalism and grassroots U.S. politics for the past decade. He has been featured on C-Span, CNN, and CBS News among other major media outlets and has been a coveted guest speaker on issues of race, politics, and popular culture in both the U.S. and UK.

 

J.L. is a former Presidential Fellow and Ronald E. McNair Scholar and received his formal education from Howard University and The London School of Economics. He also serves as Editor of Heart of the City (UK).

 

He is neither a Democrat or Republican. He is a registered independent who spent from 2000-2005 working for the Green Party of the United States, including serving as their National Director of African-American Affairs. His stance on the election stands as a progressive and grassroots activist.
